Maa Durga is worshipped as the divine mother and protector, the embodiment of strength, courage, and compassion. She represents the victory of good over evil and is depicted riding a lion, carrying celestial weapons in her many hands, each one a distinct power devoted to nurturing and protecting her children.
Her presence at the temple is one of both fierce protection and maternal warmth, and devotees turn to her for resilience, courage, and spiritual awakening. She is celebrated most fully during Navratri, when the temple’s community gathers for nine nights of devotion, dance, and prayer in her honor, as well as during Durga Puja.
